PM needs to be there to own project's outcome (Success/Failure)....


To add to the above, a PM should maintain a cool head at all times. A PM being tensed, anxious and stressed in turn relays back negative siganls to the team resulting in worser outputs

10)The PM needs to be there to applaud the entire team on success....

because Appraisals are where you get for the team effort and agree what an outstanding member of the team each one is, how much one's contribution has been valued, what massive potential one has..thus motivating.
